The role:

Proteintech is experiencing rapid growth in the UK and is now recruiting for a field-based Account Manager in London. The position is an exciting opportunity to develop a brand and lead the commercial regional growth.

You will report directly to the Commercial Director and as part of a small team, you will have real responsibility and gain exposure to multiple facets of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers to grow long-term and effective business relationships.
  • Pro-actively search and connect with new prospects.
  • Provide feedback to Marketing and Product development on customer and competitor activities.
  • Actively liaise with institution procurement departments to facilitate ease of purchase.
  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding annual revenue targets.
  • Report on sales and business development targets.

Essential requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in life science/biotech sales.
  • Must be educated to Degree or Masters level in a life science discipline.
  • Independent, driven and able to work on own initiative.
  • High level of professional communication skills and the confidence to interact with scientists at all levels.
  • Prepared to travel extensively up to 80% of time (predominantly within territory).
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Full UK driving licence
