Background
M-CSF plays an essential role in the regulation of survival, proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic precursor cells, especially mononuclear phagocytes. M-CSF promotes the release of proinflammatory chemokines, and thereby plays an important role in innate immunity and in inflammatory processes. It also plays an important role in the regulation of osteoclast proliferation and differentiation, the regulation of bone resorption, and is required for normal bone development. On the cellular level, M-CSF promotes reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton, regulates formation of membrane ruffles, cell adhesion and cell migration and plays a role in lipoprotein clearance (PMID: 29734839; 29679908; 28202039)

Reviews
The reviews below have been submitted by verified Proteintech customers who received an incentive for providing their feedback.
FH Federico (Verified Customer) (12-22-2025) | It works perfectly. I use it in culture media to generate macrophages or microglia from hiPSCs.
|
FH Lucy (Verified Customer) (11-07-2025) | I used this product to differentiate monocyte-derived macrophages and they looked beautiful! Really pleased with the performance of this product.

FH Alicia (Verified Customer) (10-14-2025) | I am using MCSF for my human iPSC derived microglia.
|
FH Ariane (Verified Customer) (03-28-2025) | Used it to promote macrophage growth from bone marrow derived cells; used it at a conc. of 10ng/mL seems to work

FH amandine (Verified Customer) (01-13-2025) | we are still doing comparizon between our previous M-CSF (from another company) , for now the MCSF from proteintech works better but we still need to perfom some experiment for control (growing of BMDMs). if the results are good, we will buy your Proteintech MSCF, because it is anyway less expensive than the other one we use

FH Romane (Verified Customer) (12-06-2024) | Works great for differentiation of human iPSCs-derived macrophages
