Background Information
Pregnancy-specific β1-glycoproteins (PSGs) are predominant proteins synthesized during gestation in humans, primates and rodents (PMID: 5001318; 11133662). In humans, PSGs are mainly secreted by syncytiotrophoblasts, while in rodents they derive from trophoblast giant cells and spongiotrophoblasts (PMID: 9290143). Moreover, PSGs can serve as indicators for blastocyst quality and embryonic viability (PMID: 8671387; 2409861).

What published studies show
The PSG1 Polyclonal antibody (Cat# 11809-1-AP) has 2 citations. They appear in Fertility and Sterility (2014) and Journal of Obstetric Gynaecology Research (2025). The research fields encompass noninvasive prenatal screening via trophoblast isolation and vascular biology, specifically PSG1's role in regulating proliferation and migration of human umbilical vein endothelial cells through the TGF-β/Orai3 signaling pathway.
