Background Information
NTN1 is also named as NTN1L. Netrins control the guidance of CNS commissural axons and peripheral motor axons. Its association with either DCC or some UNC5 receptors will lead to axon attraction or repulsion, respectively. It also serves as a survival factor through its association with its receptors, which prevents the initiation of apoptosis. NTN1 is involved in colorectal tumorigenesis by regulating apoptosis.
