Background Information
Podocytes are a major component of the glomerular blood filtration barrier. Podocyte protein Nephrin, also known as NPHS1, is the first to be identified as a central component of the slit diaphragm (SD), which is the podocyte cell-cell junction. Mutations in Nephrin lead to congenital nephrosis, such as steroid-resistant proteinuria and congenital nephrotic syndrome of the Finnish type (CNF).

Publications
What published studies show
The Nephrin Recombinant monoclonal antibody (250064G12), catalog number 85845-1-RR, has a total of 3 citations. These appear in Journal of Ethnopharmacology, Journal of Cellular Communication and Signaling, and Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications. The cited studies focus on nephrology and podocyte biology, specifically investigating diabetic nephropathy, podocyte ferroptosis in diabetic kidney disease, and podocyte injury in membranous nephropathy. All three citations used the antibody for Western blot applications in human or mouse samples.
