Background Information
AKAP12, also named as AKAP250, is a 1782 amino acid protein, which contains three AKAP domains. AKAP12 localizes in the cytoplasm and is expressed in endothelial cells, cultured fibroblasts and osteosarcoma, but not in platelets, leukocytes, monocytic cell lines or peripherical blood cells. AKAP12 as an anchoring protein that mediates the subcellular compartmentation of protein kinase A (PKA) and protein kinase C (PKC). AKAP12 expression is known to be suppressed in several human malignancies including breast, prostate, gastric and colon cancers. AKAP12 has three isoforms, namely AKAP12A, AKAP12B and AKAP12C, with molecular weights of 305 kDa, 287 kDa and 250 kDa respectively. (PMID: 30385176, PMID: 15258566)

Reviews
What customers say
Users report consistent performance across applications. For immunofluorescence, the antibody works well at 1:100–1:300 dilution in mouse tissues, clearly marking structures such as Bowman's capsule in embryonic kidney. For western blotting, it reliably detects endogenous AKAP12 at 1:1000 in HEK293 and COS7 cell lines. Overall ratings are high (4–5 out of 5), with reviewers describing the antibody as "working great" and "very well" for both IF and WB. All reviews used the same lot, indicating batch consistency.
The reviews below have been submitted by verified Proteintech customers who received an incentive for providing their feedback.
