  Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human prostate cancer tissue slide using 84872-5-RR (AKR1C3 antibody) at dilution of 1:400 (under 10x lens). Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 84872-5-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  IF Staining of HepG2 using 84872-5-RR (same clone as 84872-5-PBS)

  Immunofluorescent analysis of (-20°C Ethanol) fixed HepG2 cells using AKR1C3 antibody (84872-5-RR, Clone: 242222A11 ) at dilution of 1:200 and CoraLite®488-Conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L) (SA00013-2). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 84872-5-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Affinity and Kinetic Characterization of 84872-5-RR

  Biolayer interferometry (BLl) kinetic assays of 84872-5-RR against Human AKR1C3 were performed. The affinity constant is 35.8 nM.

Background Information

AKR1C3(Aldo-keto reductase family 1 member C3) is also named as DDH1, HSD17B5, KIAA0119, PGFS and belongs to AKR1C family. .In humans, at least four AKR1C isoforms exist: AKR1C1, AKR1C2, AKR1C3, AKR1C4 and AKR1C3 shares >86% sequence identity with these three highly related human AKRs(PMID:18574251). It catalyzes the conversion of aldehydes and ketones to alcohols and androgen, estrogen, PG, xenobiotics metabolism.
