Background Information
ANKRD28, also named as KIAA0379 and PITK, putative to be a regulatory subunit of protein phospatase 6 (PP6) that may be involved in the recognition of phosphoprotein substrates. ANKRD28 involved in the PP6-mediated dephosphorylation of NFKBIE opposing its degradation in response to TNF-alpha. Selectively inhibits the phosphatase activity of PPP1C. ANKRD28 Targets PPP1C to modulate HNRPK phosphorylation. The antibody is to phopho-Ser1040 and Ser1044.
