Background Information

Ankrd6 (Ankyrin repeat domain 6) is a distant homolog of the fly PCP mediator diego and acts as a molecular switch between both Wnt pathways. It promotes signaling of the non canonical Wnt/PCP pathway and simultaneously inhibits gene transcription through the canonical Wnt/β-catenin pathway.
