Background Information
ANTXR1, also named as ATR and TEM8, is type I transmembrane protein and is a tumor-specific endothelial marker that has been implicated in colorectal cancer. It has been shown to be a docking protein or receptor for Bacillus anthracis toxin, the causative agent of the disease, anthrax. It is highly expressed in tumor endothelial cells. The antibody only recognizes the isoform 1 of ANTXR1.
