  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 11589-1-AP (BRSK2 antibody) at dilution of 1:4000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours.

Background Information

BRSK2 is highly conserved from invertebrates to human, plays a key role in polarization of neurons and has been identified with different names: SAD1 is its closest homolog in C. elegans, serine/threonine kinase SADA alfa in rat, brain-selective kinase 2 and SAD-B in mouse and hsSAD1 and SAD1B in humans(PMID:16165222) . In rat and mouse, BRSK2 is only detected in the brain and at low levels in the testis .It has some isoforms produced by alternative splicing with the molecular mass of 68-84 kDa. This protein has a conserved function throughout the evolution.
