Background Information

CCDC136 (also known as NAG6) is a coiled-coil domain containing protein described as a potential tumor suppressor in gastric cancer. CCDC136 protein was most abundantly located in the acrosome of round spermatids and elongating spermatids within seminiferous tubules of the adult mouse testis (PMID: 27076447).
