  FC experiment of human monocyte-derived immature dendritic cells using 98156-1-RR (same clone as 98156-1-PBS)

  1x10^6 human monocyte-derived immature dendritic cells were surface stained with 0.25 ug Anti-Human CD209 Rabbit Recombinant Antibody (98156-1-RR, Clone: 240907A4) (red) or 0.25 ug Isotype Control (blue), and PE-Conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L). Cells were incubated with FC Receptor Block prior to staining. Cells were not fixed. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 98156-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Affinity and Kinetic Characterization of 98156-1-RR

  Biolayer interferometry (BLl) kinetic assays of 98156-1-RR against Human CD209 were performed. The affinity constant is 1.94 nM.

Background Information

CD209 (DC-SIGN, CLEC4L) is a C-type lectin receptor that is involved in the innate immune system and recognizes numerous evolutionarily divergent pathogens, including bacteria, viruses, and parasites. CD209 is preferentially expressed on dendritic cells (DCs). It mediates transient adhesion of DCs with T cells. It has been reported that CD209 plays a role in capture and transmission of HIV from DC to T cells (PMID: 10721995).
