  FC experiment of human PBMCs using 98184-1-RR (same clone as 98184-1-PBS)

  1x10^6 human PBMCs were surface stained with 0.25 ug Anti-Human CD33 Rabbit Recombinant Antibody (98184-1-RR, Clone: 241711C12) or 0.25 ug Isotype Control and PE-Conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L). Cells were then stained with CoraLite® Plus 647 Anti-Human CD14. Cells were incubated with FC Receptor Block prior to staining. Cells were not fixed. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 98184-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Background Information

CD33, also referred to as Siglec-3, is a 67-kDa glycosylated transmembrane protein of sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lactic (siglec) family. CD33 is expressed on monocytes, myeloid progenitors, granulocytes, mast cells, some T cells. It may mediate cell-to-cell adhesion and act as a receptor that inhibits the proliferation of normal and leukemic myeloid cells.
