  WB analysis of U-937 using 83513-6-RR (same clone as 83513-6-PBS)

  U-937 cells were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 83513-6-RR (CD4 antibody) at dilution of 1:5000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 83513-6-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Affinity and Kinetic Characterization of 83513-6-RR

  Biolayer interferometry (BLl) kinetic assays of 83513-6-RR against Human CD4 were performed. The affinity constant is 0.391 nM.

Background Information

CD4 is a 55-kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on T helper cells, the majority of thymocytes, monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells (PMID: 9304802; 12213222). CD4 is an accessory protein for MHC class-II antigen/T-cell receptor interaction. It plays an important role in T helper cell development and activation (PMID: 9539765; 3112582). CD4 serves as a receptor for the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) (PMID: 9304802).
