  WB analysis of rat heart using 83566-1-RR (same clone as 83566-1-PBS)

  rat heart tissue were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 83566-1-RR (CORIN antibody) at dilution of 1:1000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 83566-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded mouse heart tissue slide using 83566-1-RR (CORIN antibody) at dilution of 1:100 (under 10x lens). Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 83566-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Background Information

CORIN is a transmembrane type II serine protease expressed in cardiomyocytes that converts pro-atrial natriuretic peptide into atrial natriuretic peptide, a cardiac hormone that regulates blood pressure. CORIN can be shed into the circulation through autocleavage and metalloproteinase-mediated hydrolysis processes of the membrane form of the protein. Three different soluble fragments derived from corin molecules, with molecular masses of ~180, ~160 and ~100 kDa were described in literature (PMID: 21288900, 29387201).
