Background Information
Cytochrome c oxidase (COX) is the terminal enzyme in the electron transfer chain located in the mitochondrial inner membrane. It catalyzes the electron transfer from reduced cytochrome c to oxygen. COX10 is predicted to contain 7-9 transmembrane domains, and it is a heteromeric complex consisting of 3 catalytic subunits encoded by mitochondrial genes and multiple structural subunits encoded by nuclear genes. The mitochondrially-encoded subunits function in electron transfer, and the nuclear-encoded subunits may function in the regulation and assembly of the complex. This nuclear gene encodes heme A:farnesyltransferase, which is required for the expression of functional COX and functions in the maturation of the heme A prosthetic group of COX. In addition, COX10 may play a certain role in the development and progression of azoospermia.

Reviews
The reviews below have been submitted by verified Proteintech customers who received an incentive for providing their feedback.
FH Kateryna (Verified Customer) (01-16-2025) | The antibody worked very well in Western blot (SDS-PAGE, nitrocellulose membrane, 5% non-fat dry milk blocking). The antibody was validated on knockout mice lacking COX10 in brain astrocytes (Aldh1l1-Cre/ERT2::Cox10fl/+).
