  1x10^6 SH-SY5Y cells were intracellularly stained with 0.25 ug Anti-Human Chromogranin A Rabbit RecAb (98570-1-RR, Clone:251239G9) (red),or Rabbit IgG Isotype Control RecAb (98136-1-RR, Clone: 240953C9) (blue)and PE-Conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L),Cells were fixed and permeabilized with Intracellular Flow Cytometry Fixation & Permeabilization Buffer Kit (PF00019). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 98570-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Biolayer interferometry (BLl) kinetic assays of 98624-1-RR against Human Chromogranin A were performed. The affinity constant is 2.19 nM.

Background Information

Chromogranin A is a member of the granin family of neuroendocrine secretory proteins. It is located in secretory vesicles of neurons and endocrine cells. Chromogranin A is the precursor to several functional peptides including vasostatin, pancreastatin, catestatin and parastatin. These peptides negatively modulate the neuroendocrine function of the releasing cell (autocrine) or nearby cells (paracrine). CgA is one of the most used tumor markers in NET's (neuroendocrine tumors) , and elevated CgA concentrations have been demonstrated in serum or plasma of patients with different types of these tumors.
