  Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded rat brain tissue slide using 84595-4-RR (DCX antibody) at dilution of 1:250 (under 10x lens). Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 84595-4-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Affinity and Kinetic Characterization of 84595-4-RR

  Biolayer interferometry (BLl) kinetic assays of 84595-4-RR against Human DCX were performed. The affinity constant is 1.23 nM.

Background Information

DCX (Doublecortin) is a microtubule-associated protein that is essential for normal brain development. DCX is expressed in migrating neurons throughout the central and peripheral nervous system during embryonic and postnatal development. Anti-DCX antibodies are widely used for detection of neurogenesis. It's also a common neuron marker since its expression is specific to neurons.
