Background Information
HYLS1, also named as HLS, is widely expressed in fetal tissue. Mutation of HYLS1 will cause the hydrolethalus syndrome (HLS) which is an autosomal recessive lethal malformation syndrome characterized by multiple developmental defects of fetus.
