  WB analysis using 83558-5-RR (same clone as 83558-5-PBS)

  Untreated, PMA, A23187 and Brefeldin A treated Jurkat cells were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 83558-5-RR (IL2 antibody) at dilution of 1:10000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 83558-5-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Immunofluorescent analysis of (4% PFA) fixed PMA, A23187 and Brefeldin A treated Jurkat cells using IL-2 antibody (83558-5-RR, Clone: 240416H3 ) at dilution of 1:1000 and CoraLite®488-Conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L) (SA00013-2). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 83558-5-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Affinity and Kinetic Characterization of 83558-5-RR

  Biolayer interferometry (BLl) kinetic assays of 83558-5-RR against Human IL-2 were performed. The affinity constant is below 1 pM.

Background Information

IL2 is a secreted cytokine involved in the operation and regulation of immune system. IL2 plays a pivotal role in T-cell activation and effector functions, including T cell proliferation, interferon-γproduction and cytotoxicity. IL2 can stimulate the propagation of lymphocytes and induce the cytotoxic T lymphocytes and lymphokine-activated killer cells for tumor cells. IL2 also influences memory T cell homeostasis through the regulation of memory T cell numbers and enhances major histocompatibility complex II (MHC II) expression on tumor cells.
