Background Information

Potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily H member 1 (KCNH1, also known as Kv10.1 and EAG) a member of the EAG (ether-à-go-go) family, which is involved in intracellular signaling, cell proliferation, and tumorigenesis (PMID: 35639255). KCNH1 is mainly expressed in the adult central nervous system. It also plays a role in controlling K+ fux that regulates resting membrane potential in excitable and non-excitable cells and is activated at the onset of myoblast differentiation (PMID: 29333676; 27029528; 9738473).
