Background Information

Potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily H member 5 (KCNH5), also known as Ether-a-go-go potassium channel 2 (hEAG2) belongs to mammalian potassium channel subfamily and is upregulated in a subset of Medulloblastoma (MB). KCNH5 protein is confined intracellularly during interphase but is enriched in the plasma membrane during late G2 phase and mitosis (PMID: 22855790, 26258683).
