Background Information
LARP7 belongs to the LARP RNA-binding protein family, which includes the lupus LA antigen gene, and modulates the metabolism and function of a variety of RNA species [PMID:20138158]. LARP7 binds to the 7SK RNP complex, and sequesters the positive transcription elongation factor b (P-TEFb) in an inactive form, preventing RNA polymerase II phosphorylation and subsequent transcriptional elongation. binds to and stabilizes 7sk snRNA[PMID:19416841].

Reviews
What customers say
Customers report this antibody performs well in Western Blot, producing a specific band. One user noted some background, likely due to low dilution and overnight incubation, but still rated it a fair product. Another user confirmed strong performance at 1:1000–1:2000 dilutions in lung carcinoma and Calu-3 cells, and validated specificity using LARP7 knock-out cell lines. Overall, reviewers find it reliable for WB with good specificity at appropriate dilutions.
The reviews below have been submitted by verified Proteintech customers who received an incentive for providing their feedback.
Yaroslav (Verified Customer) (07-14-2026) | These antibodies give a specific band together with some background, which in my case could be a consequence of relatively low dilution and overnight incubation. Overall, it is a fair product.

Monika (Verified Customer) (10-09-2023) | Great antibody, successfully used in western blots with 1:1000 to 1:2000 dilutions. Verified using a Calu-3 and HEK293T LARP7 knock-out cell lines.
