  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 87078-1-RR (MDGA1 antibody) at dilution of 1:2000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 87078-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded mouse cerebellum tissue slide using 87078-1-RR (MDGA1 antibody) at dilution of 1:1000 (under 40x lens). Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 87078-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Background Information

The MAM domain GPI-anchored molecule (MDGA) family proteins are glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) anchored proteins, consisting of MDGA1 and MDGA2. They are highly expressed in the central nervous system and can act as type-specific synaptic repressors (PMID: 41124857; 38900791). MDGA1 contains Ig and MAM domains that are involved in cell motility and play a role in cell migration and/or adhesion (PMID: 35532105). MDGA1 is a glycoprotein containing 955 amino acids with an observed molecular weight of 130-140 kDa (PMID: 35532105; 26776515; 21505559).
