Background Information
MIB2, also named as E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase MIB2, is a 1013 amino aicd protein, which Contains 9 ANK repeats and 2 MIB/HERC2 domains. MIB2 as E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that mediates ubiquitination of Delta receptors, which act as ligands of Notch proteins.MIB2 positively regulates the Delta-mediated Notch signaling by ubiquitinating the intracellular domain of Delta, leading to endocytosis of Delta receptors. MIB2 is expressed in skeletal muscle, and to a lesser extent in heart, brain and kidney.
Publications
What published studies show
The MIB2 Polyclonal antibody (Cat# 13696-1-AP) has 1 total citation. It appears in PNAS Nexus (IF 4.8), published in December 2023 by Daniel S. Simpson et al. The study investigated how Mind bomb 2 limits inflammatory dermatitis in Sharpin mutant mice independently of cell death, placing this citation in the fields of immunology, inflammatory skin disease, and Notch signaling pathway research. The antibody was used for Western blot in mouse samples.
