Background Information

MKRN2(Probable E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase makorin-2) is also named as RNF62. It is an E3 ubiquitin ligase that catalyzes the covalent attachment of ubiquitin moieties onto substrate proteins. It may be playing a functional role in negatively regulating neurogenesis via PI3K/Akt signaling.
