Product Information
KE10145 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The mouse CD155/PVR ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous mouse CD155/PVR. The assay recognizes mouse CD155/PVR. An antibody specific for mouse CD155/PVR has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The mouse CD155/PVR protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for mouse CD155/PVR is added to detect the captured mouse CD155/PVR protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information
CD155, also known as the poliovirus receptor (PVR) or Necl-5, is one of the nectin-like family members, belonging to the Ca2+ independent immunoglobulin superfamily (IgSF) in cell adhesion molecules. CD155 is a type I transmembrane protein composed of three extracellular immunoglobulin-like domains, a transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic tail. It is involved in cell-to-cell and cell-to-ECM adhesion. CD155 acts as a ligand for immune receptors, including TIGIT, CD96, and CD226, which are expressed on T cells and NK cells. CD155 interacts with these receptors to modulate immune responses, such as T-cell activation and NK cell-mediated cytotoxicity. CD155 serves as the entry receptor for poliovirus and thereby mediates susceptibility to poliovirus infection.
