Product Information

KE10204 is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The mouse IL-7R alpha/CD127 ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous mouse IL-7R alpha/CD127. The assay recognizes mouse IL-7R alpha/CD127. An antibody specific for mouse IL-7R alpha/CD127 has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The mouse IL-7R alpha/CD127 protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, another horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibody specific for mouse IL-7R alpha/CD127 is added to detect the captured mouse IL-7R alpha/CD127 protein. For signal development, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450 nm with the correction wavelength set at 630 nm.

Background Information

CD127, also known as IL-7R subunit alpha (IL-7Rα), is a type I membrane glycoprotein expressed on thymocytes, B cell precursors, most T cells, and some lymphoid and myeloid cells. IL-7R is a heterodimer composed of CD127 and IL-2Rγ (CD132), which is a common gamma chain shared by the receptors of various cytokines, including interleukins 2, 4, 7, 9, and 15. IL-7R plays critical roles in lymphocyte development and homeostasis. Additionally, CD127 can also act as a receptor for thymic stromal lymphopoietin.
