  Neutralization experiment of NeutraKine® IL-3 using 69004-1-Ig (same clone as 69004-1-PBS)

  Recombinant human IL-3 (Cat.NO. HZ-1074) stimulates proliferation of TF-1 cell line (human erythroleukemic cell line) in a dose-dependent manner (blue curve, refer to bottom X-left Y). The activity of human IL-3 (10 ng/mL HZ-1074) is neutralized by mouse anti-human IL-3 monoclonal antibody 69004-1-Ig at serial dose (red curve, refer to top X-right Y). The ND50 is typically 40-70 ng/mL. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 69004-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Background Information

Interleukin-3 (IL-3) is a multilineage hematopoietic growth factor that promotes the proliferation, differentiation and survival of early multilineage hematopoietic progenitors. In particular, this cytokine plays a key role in stimulating the proliferation and survival of myeloid precursors. It is involved in a variety of cell activities such as cell growth, differentiation and apoptosis. This cytokine has been shown to also possess neurotrophic activity, and it may be associated with neurologic disorders (PMID: 24103757;2698876;2809196).

This antibody can be used to neutralize the bioactivity of IL-3.
