Background Information

PDGFC is a member of the platelet-derived growth factor family. It is a monomeric protein secreted as a latent dimeric factor. Expression of PDGFC was highest in prostate, testis, and uterus, with weaker expression in spleen, thymus, and small intestine, and little expression in colon and peripheral blood leukocytes.
