Background Information
Platelet-derived growth factor receptor alpha (PDGFRA, also known as CD140a) is a cell surface tyrosine kinase receptor for members of the platelet-derived growth factor family. PDGFRA is implicated in the regulation of embryonic development, tumorigenesis, cell proliferation, survival, and chemotaxis. Mutations in the PDGFRA gene have been associated with idiopathic hypereosinophilic syndrome, somatic and familial gastrointestinal stromal tumors, and a variety of other cancers.
Publications
What published studies show
The PDGFR alpha Polyclonal antibody (Cat# 10945-1-AP) has 1 citation. It appears in Oncology Research (2023), a study investigating how GIPC1 promotes tumor growth and migration in gastric cancer through activation of the PDGFR/PI3K/AKT signaling pathway. The research field is oncology, specifically gastric cancer and growth factor receptor signaling.
