  WB analysis using 87413-2-RR (same clone as 87413-2-PBS)

  Non-treated PC-12 cells and dexamethasone treated PC-12 cells were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 87413-2-RR (Phospho-Glucocorticoid receptor (Ser211) antibody) at dilution of 1:2000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. The membrane was stripped and re-blotted with Alpha Tubulin (66031-1-Ig) antibody as a loading control. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 87413-2-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Background Information

Glucocorticoid receptor (GR, or GCR) also known as NR3C1 (nuclear receptor subfamily 3, group C, member 1) is a receptor for glucocorticoids, which owns a dual mode of action: as a transcription factor that binds to glucocorticoid response elements (GRE) and as a modulator of other transcription factors. Ser211 is located within the hinge region of the GR, which connects the DNA-binding domain and the ligand-binding domain. Phosphorylation at Ser211 is crucial for the receptor's transcriptional activity and nuclear translocation. (PMID: 40362450)
