WB analysis of MCF-7 using 87071-2-RR (same clone as 87071-2-PBS)
Non-treated MCF-7 cells and IGF-1 treated MCF-7 cells were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 87071-2-RR (Phospho-S6 Ribosomal protein (Ser235/236) antibody) at dilution of 1:2000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. The membrane was stripped and re-blotted with Alpha Tubulin (66031-1-Ig) antibody as a loading control. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 87071-2-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Ribosomal protein S6 (RPS6),Phosphoprotein NP33.It may play an important role in controlling cell growth and proliferation through the selective translation of particular classes of mRNA. Mitogens also stimulate p90 ribosomal S6 kinases (RSK1-4), which can phosphorylate the same Ser235/236 residues independently of mTOR, providing a parallel pathway that links MAPK activation to translational control.
