  WB analysis using 28945-1-AP

  Phosphatase inhibitor treated HEK-293T cells, λ phosphatase treated HEK-293T cells, and non-treated HEK-293T cells were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 28945-1-AP (Phospho-STAT3 (Ser727) antibody) at dilution of 1:2000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. The membrane was stripped and re-blotted with GAPDH (60004-1-Ig) antibody as a loading control.

Background Information

Signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (acute-phase response factor) (STAT3, synonyms: APRF, FLJ20882, MGC16063) is a member of the STAT protein family. Phosphorylated STAT3 dimerizes and translocates to the nucleus, where it regulates the transcription of target genes through binding to specific DNA-responsive elements. In addition to activation by Tyr705 phosphorylation, STAT3 also requires phosphorylation on Ser727 to achieve maximal transcriptional activity. (PMID: 21617181)
