Background Information
RNF41 acts as an E3 ubiquitin ligase to promote ErbB3 ubiquitination and degradation in cultured cells through its RING finger domain (PMID: 12411582). RNF41 acts also as a PRKN modifier that accelerates its degradation, resulting in a reduction of PRKN activity, influencing the balance of the intracellular redox state (PMID: 18541373).
