Background Information
Septins (SEPTs) are members of a conserved family of cytoskeletal GTPases involved in various cellular processes, including cytoskeleton organization, cytokinesis, and membrane dynamics. SEPT7 is a unique septin required for filament formation. It has also been reported to be involved in migration and invasion in various cancer cells, including breast cancer and glioma.

Both reviews rate the antibody 5 stars for immunofluorescence. One user performed labeling on K562 cells using ice-cold methanol permeabilization and reported very nice staining. The other used HeLa cells fixed with 4% PFA and permeabilized with 0.3% Triton X-100, staining at a 1:300 dilution, and observed clear septin 7 signal in both interphase and anaphase cells. Overall, users find the antibody produces strong, specific labeling with standard fixation and permeabilization protocols.
