Background Information

SLITRK2 is a 845 amino acid single-pass transmembrane protein and is expressed at postsynaptic neurons, which plays a important role in regulating neurite outgrowth and excitatory synapse maintenance (PMID: 35840571). It has been reported that SLITRK2 deficiency could lead to abnormal neural network activity, vestibular function, synaptic integrity, and serotonergic function (PMID: 35789858).
