  Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded mouse cerebellum tissue slide using 83923-1-RR (Synaptotagmin-14 antibody) at dilution of 1:500 (under 10x lens). Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 83923-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  FC experiment of A431 using 83923-1-RR (same clone as 83923-1-PBS)

  1x10^6 A431 cells were intracellularly stained with 0.25 ug Synaptotagmin-14 Recombinant antibody (83923-1-RR, Clone:240866C2) and APC-Conjugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L)(red), or 0.25 ug Isotype Control (blue). Cells were fixed with 4% PFA and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Perm Buffer. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 83923-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Background Information

The synaptotagmins are integral membrane proteins of synaptic vesicles thought to serve as Ca(2+) sensors in the process of vesicular trafficking and exocytosis (PMID: 8058779). Synaptotagmin-14 (SYT14) is highly expressed in brain tissues. A homozygous mutation of SYT14 is involved in the pathogenesis of spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA) (PMID: 21835308).
