Background Information
T-complex protein 11-like protein 1 (TCP11L1) is a member of the TCP11 family. It has been reported to share its functional domain with and has similar subcellular localization to the TCP11 protein (PMID: 33568072; Liu Y et al., Chin J Appl Environ Biol. 2008;14:783-6.). A study has described a patient with cryptorchidism and nonobstructive azoospermia presenting a novel microdeletion at 11p13 in TCP11L1 gene (PMID: 24912414).
