Background Information
TIFA (TRAF-interacting protein with FHA domain-containing protein A ), also called T2BP, can interact with TRAF6 and plays an important role in innate immunity (PMID: 32910997; 35635239). Oligomerization of TIFA, which induces oligomerization and polyubiquitinylation of TRAF6, in turn activates TAK and IKK, finally mediates NF‐κB activation in the Toll‐like receptor 4/interleukin‐1 signaling pathway (PMID: 15492226; 22566686). It has been reported that TIFA also plays various roles in different cancer types (PMID: 26501855; 29263897).
