Background Information
TLR3 belongs to the Toll-like receptor family which is important in the innate immune response to pathogens. TLRs are highly conserved from Drosophila to humans and share structural and functional similarities. TLR3 is a nucleotide-sensing TLR that is activated by double-stranded RNA. Upon recognition of dsRNA, TLR3 transmits signals via the adaptor protein TICAM-1/TRIF, leading to the induction of type I IFN, cytokine/chemokine production, and dendritic cell (DC) maturation (PMID: 18262679). Western detected full-length (∼120 kD) and cleaved (∼70 kDa) TLR3 (PMID: 28717003).

The reviewer used it at a 1:1000 dilution in Western Blot on BEAS-2B cells and reported that, unlike other TLR3 antibodies they had tried, this product correctly detected the expected 120 kDa band. While other products only showed a 67–72 kDa band, this antibody revealed both the 120 kDa and 67–72 kDa bands, confirming superior specificity for the full-length protein.

Iustina (Verified Customer) (04-24-2025) | I have tried other Antibodies for TLR3 detection, but from all of them only this product detected the right size band: 120 kDa. Other products detected protein at 67-72 kDa, whereas with this product, I managed two bands: one at 120 and one at 67-72 kDa.
