Background Information
TMEM135, also known as PMP52, contains 3 N-terminal transmembrane domains and 4 C-terminal transmembrane domains. TMEM135 is up-regulated in bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells during differentiation into adipocytes compared to osteoblasts(PMID: 18637193).
