Background Information
WNT7A belongs to the Wnt family. WNT7A plays an important role in embryonic development, including dorsal versus ventral patterning during limb development, skeleton development and urogenital tract development (PMID: 16826533). WNT7A is required for central nervous system (CNS) angiogenesis and blood-brain barrier regulation (PMID:30026314). WNT7A is highly expressed in basal cells and is secreted in abundance by basal cells (PMID: 36318668).
