Background Information
ZBTB2 (Zinc Finger and BTB Domain-Containing Protein 2) is a transcriptional regulator belonging to the POK (POZ/BTB and Krüppel) family of zinc finger proteins. It contains an N-terminal BTB (Broad-Complex, Tramtrack, and Bric-à-Brac) domain, which mediates protein-protein interactions and transcriptional repression, and a C-terminal set of Krüppel-type zinc fingers that recognize specific DNA sequences. ZBTB2 is involved in critical cellular processes, including cell cycle progression, differentiation, and DNA damage response.
