Background Information
Zinc finger homeobox protein 3 (ZFHX3) encodes a transcription factor which contains four homeodomains and seventeen zinc fingers. The ZFHX3 transcription factor appears to regulate myogenic and neuronal differentiation. Although the function of ZFHX3 in cardiac tissue is unknown, it is expressed in mouse hearts.
