  WB analysis of PC-3 using 12847-1-AP (same clone as 12847-1-PBS)

  PC-3 cells were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 12847-1-AP (ZMPSTE24 antibody) at dilution of 1:400 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 12847-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Background Information

ZMPSTE24(CAAX prenyl protease 1 homolog) gene encodes a zinc metalloproteinase involved in the processing of farnesylated proteins(PubMed: 10373325). The significance of ZMPSTE24 in human disease stems from its role as an enzyme necessary for the correct processing and maturation of lamin A ,an intermediate filament component of the nuclear envelope (PubMed: 16297189).
