Background Information
ZNF318 is a large, multi-functional transcription factor encoded by the ZNF318 gene on human chromosome 6 (6p12.3) . In humans, the gene produces at least two major protein isoforms through alternative splicing. ZNF318 acts as a transcriptional regulator of the Androgen Receptor (AR) , playing a critical dual role depending on the isoform expressed.
