Background Information
ZNF449 (Zinc Finger Protein 449) is a member of the zinc-finger family of transcription factors. It is encoded by a gene located on the X chromosome (Xq26.3) and contains an N-terminal SCAN domain and seven C2H2-type zinc finger motifs at the C-terminus.
