Background Information
Amyloid proteinbinding protein 2 (APPBP2) is a hydrophilic tubulin that interacts with microtubules and is functionally involved in beta-amyloid precursor protein (APP) transport and/or processing. Based on the regulation of microtubules and APP, APPBP2 is found to be involved in the oncogenesis of various types of cancers, such as breast cancer, ovarian clear cell adenocarcinomas, desmoplastic medulloblastomas and neuroblastomas. Recently, Studies have demonstrated that APPBP2 is a potential target for diagnosis and therapeutic intervention in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) (PMID: 31105033).

Publications
What published studies show
The APPBP2 Polyclonal antibody (Cat# 12409-1-AP) has 1 citation. It was used in a Western blot study published in Diabetes (2023), examining how PRMT4 facilitates white adipose tissue browning and thermogenesis by methylating PPARγ. The research falls within the fields of metabolic regulation, adipose tissue biology, and diabetes. The cited application was WB in mouse samples.

Reviews
What customers say
The single review for this antibody (rated 3/5) was from a Western Blot application on HEK293T cells at a 1:1000 dilution. The reviewer noted that the antibody produces multiple bands with considerable background, and the target protein is not the most distinct band. However, they still considered it the best antibody they had found for APPBP2, as it does appear to detect the correct protein despite the suboptimal specificity.
The reviews below have been submitted by verified Proteintech customers who received an incentive for providing their feedback.
Anna (Verified Customer) (02-05-2026) | Produces many bands but does seem to report on the correct protein (not the most distinct band, unfortunately). Despite the pretty bad background this is the best antibody I have been able to find for APPBP2.
